Summer Fun!
Summer Fun is here! The J’s Summer Fun program is 9 weeks long of summer time fun. During Summer Fun we will travel and explore different places from around the world. Children will be able to learn about different habitats and elements every week with fun crafts and science experiments.
Last Day of School
The last day of school of the academic year. On this day the students will get to take home all of their projects, work and more from their year of hard work!
Sport's Day
On your marks, get set, go! The annual Sport’s Day kicks off at Step Park. Each class will hold their own in class Sport’s Day complete with prizes. Children should come to school in active wear on this day ready to race!
World Book Day
On World Book Day we celebrate our most beloved books, stories and author’s by dressing up as our favorite storybook characters. Children will come to school dressed in costume along with their book in hand.
Easter Egg Hunt
During the J’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt, each class will enjoy searching for eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny in Arisugawa Park.
PTC Week
Our second Parent Teacher Conference Week will be taking place between March 7th-18th. Please make sure to sign up early in the garage from the beginning of March.
Girl’s Day
On March 3rd we celebrate Girl’s Day or Hinamatsuri in Japan. Girls can come into school in traditional dress and enjoy learning about hinamatsuri traditions with their Japanese teacher .
Emperor’s Birthday
Just a reminder that on February 23rd there will be no school due to the Japanese National Holiday.
Valentine's Day
On February 14th we celebrate Valentine’s Day. The children will enjoy singing seasonal songs, making Valentine’s cards and gifts for their loved ones in class.
Setsubun
On Setsubun the children can enjoy casting out bad luck and some mischievous oni (orgres) with this traditional Japanese bean throwing event in their weekly Japanese class.
Lunar New Year
J’s celebrates the Lunar New Year welcoming the year of the Tiger. On this day the children will enjoy learning about Lunar New Year traditions and can come to school wearing red or in traditonal dress.
J's Halloween Party
The annual J’s Halloween Party is held for students and their families to attend in costume. Details will be sent to the parents directly through the school.
J’s Community Can Drive
The annual J’s Community Can Drive is held every October to donate to the homeless to teach the virtue of generosity and kindness to those in need during the season of harvest. By sharing even one can a day to give to the poor we can change lives and make a difference.
No School
The school will be closed on October 10th because of a Japanese National Holiday.
World Animal Day
World Animal Day is an international day of action for animal rights and welfare celebrated annually on October 4. Children can come to school wearing animal themed clothes.
Summer PJ Day
On this day the children can enjoy a fun day of school in their fresh summer pajamas. We will also be enjoying treats and a movie in the classroom!
Aquarium Field Trip
J’s International School finally has it’s first annual school trip since 2019 to Hakkeijima Sea Paradise. Parents and children will get to enjoy a day at the aquarium along with their classmates.
Golden Week
Golden Week will be held between April 29th - May 5th. We hope you can take this time to relax with your family.
Boy's Day
We will be celebrating Boy’s Day early on April 28th before Golden Week. On this day boys can come to school dressed handsomely or in traditional wear.
Open House
J’s International School will be hosting it’s first Open House of 2022. On this day parent’s are invited to see a glimpse of your child’s class and their daily routine at school.
St. Patrick's Day
On Saint Patrick's Day the children can come to school dressed up in lucky green. They will get to enjoy a fun themed day craft and learn about it’s orgins alongside the patron saint of Ireland.
International Women’s Day
International Women's Day is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 to commemorate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. On this day the children can learn stories about the most celebrated women in our history.
Pancake Day
March 1st this year is National Pancake Day in Britain. The Clever Cats & Ready Rabbits can enjoy cooking pancakes in the classroom to celebrate Shove Tuesday with their British homeroom teacher Ms. Victoria.

Just a reminder that on February 11th there will be no school due to the Japanese National Holiday.

On this day the children can enjoy a fun day of school in their cosy winter pajamas. We will also be enjoying treats and a movie in the classroom!
