J’s Way of Learning
Our Methodology
There are indeed many different and wonderfully creative ways of teaching the diverse world to a curious and eager child. At J’s International School, we wholeheartedly embrace a thoughtfully curated mixture of effective educational approaches, including the renowned Reggio-Emilia Approach, hands-on Play-Based Learning, as well as the foundational principles of Early Literacy and Numeracy.
Together, these thoughtfully designed methods, as outlined by Ontario Early Years, create a purposeful hybrid approach that enriches the entire learning journey and nurtures the whole child in a holistic manner. We are deeply committed to ensuring that every child not only thrives academically but also flourishes emotionally and develops physically in a supportive environment.
At J's International School, we prioritize small class sizes across all four classes. With over 20 years of experience and research from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), we recognize the advantages of maintaining a low student-educator ratio. In childcare settings, children thrive when they have direct interaction with educators, resembling the nurturing atmosphere of home. The quality of care significantly improves in smaller classes due to personalized attention, enhanced student engagement, and greater accessibility from educators. This individualized focus helps children feel safer and reduces feelings of overwhelm and stress in a new environment.

Core Values
Be the Nice Kid
Join us for fun. Be kind. Kindness and inclusivity begin at home with us, the adults. We are a community raising future global citizens. Though we are different, we are united. Be kind. Be inclusive. We are in this together.
The Power of Yet
It’s important to keep trying just because we can’t do it, yet. You may not succeed today, but tomorrow - is another day to being able to do what you were not able to do today. It's not “I can’t do it” it's “I can’t do it, yet.” and as educators respecting children and their readiness - not rushing their learning.

Our Philosophy
Creating a kinder generation of children to become leaders of tomorrow.
We welcome children from all cultures and pride ourselves on the diverse backgrounds of students and educators alike. We strive to nurture our children’s curiosity and encourage them to explore, play, and learn. We look forward to being part of your loving journey.
